Samantha is done with basketball season. She has been running full speed since October, between NJROTC drill and basketball. After school she was very stressed. So when she finished her homework, we went to a friends house (that I am watching) and watched a couple of movies. She also helped me cut out all the campbells soup labels for the elementary school! It was a great night.
In my ward I serve as the Relief Society secretary. I love this calling. Once a year I put up a new bullitin board. That is what I worked on for many hours last week. This is the end result. I am very pleased with the result! Glad for the inspiration from Heavenly Father on finding just the right quote. Life would certainly be more difficult without direction from my Father in Heaven.
I saw this apple late in the evening. So I hid it for the night until I could take a picture of it. I love the stripe. Nature is a beautiful thing. So grateful that Heavenly Father put so much beauty in this world!
Coach Robishaw talking to Samantha and her basketball team during a timeout.
Hey where is that ball?! It is fun to watch Samantha play basketball. She works hard and enjoys the game. Next year will be her senior year and fourth year on the varsity team.
January 30, 2012 Chris Beers is a friend from church. He is also a basketball referee in our county. Sometimes he refs Samantha's games. I like to watch him ref, he does his best to follow every move in the game. I know I couldn't do that job!
The game is over, they are sweaty and ready to go home.
Robert Millard was first Samantha's friend and is now a family friend. All the kids love it when Robert comes over. Addison will ask for him once in a while. Robert tells us he is our #1 son - Craig says he is our #1 non-biological son!
Patrick came over on Sunday for dinner and his birthday cake! Happy 19th birthday :-) Addison gets so excited to see Patrick. Before dinner she sat on his lap. In this picture they are looking at Patrick's phone. It was fun to watch them smile and laugh with each other.
Apparently it take two people to light 19 candles!
This is the chocolate curl bow from the cake. The bow was right in the center and the rest of the cake was covered with the smaller curls.
This is the closest picture I got to Patrick showing happy expression. He does not like when I have my camera out.
Morgan was helping me with my blog. She found this button and put it on my blog. I am glad that Morgan loves me!!
My Journey
This is a bit scary for me to say this to any one else. However I know I need to share this journey. I have another blog, called my journey. This blog is about my journey through recognizing my addiction to food and working through it. Working through this addiction is one of the most difficult things I have tried. But I want to keep working at it. So if you are interested, follow my blog www.eatingresponsibly-christina.blogspot.com
I am loving my life. I have 8 children, 6 of them are living at home. We have teenagers learning to drive, high school activities, school projects, scouts, learning to read and many other activities always happening in our home. I love who I am and love my husband and our many kids!
