Picture #115

April 23, 2012

Addi went to Morgan's room and found her heels.  I think it is so funny that she got one shoe from two different pairs!  Addi was so happy to be walking in the shoes, just look at that smile!!

Morgan is home from College for the summer .  The kids were playing in the yard, when Craig and Morgan drove up.  They all ran out to help bring in her luggage.  Then cam unpacking, of course that was also achieved with the help of her siblings!  We are all happy to have Morgan home.

Picture #38

I love having a kindle. It is funny how I got one. Morgan won one at Project Graduation, within a month or so Addi dropped Morgan's kindle and broke it. Morgan bought a new one. So we had still had the broken kindle. After Morgan left for college I decided to call about the broken kindle. Guess what - They replaced the kindle for free!!! So I ended up with the kindle replacement.

Picture #3

January 3, 2012
This picture was not taken on January 3rd, but I love what the girls did. So I am including it for #3 picture!! During the new years party, Morgan and our friend Jordan, stamped butterflies on the walls in Addi's bedroom. I am so happy with the result. The girls worked/played hard for me that night. Addison's mouth dropped when we showed her the butterflies - she was happy too!

Beginning My Journey of a Picture a Day!

My friend Robin Hagan is doing a 365 project. She is taking a picture every day and posting it on facebook. I decided to copy the idea. So here is my picture from January 1, 2012.

Backrow: Jordan M, Morgan, Samantha, Carson (behind him is Robert), Raeleigh (behind her is Jacob), Linda, Stuart being pushed into the picture by Dad.

Front Row: Jaycee, Jamie, Jordan W, Teal, Ashley, Julianne

The youth New Years Eve Party at the church got canceled. So the kids invited their friends over her. It was CRAZY and a lot of fun! This picture was taken a few minutes after the new year began.

Morgan leaves for college ...

August 29, Morgan left for Utah. She was visiting family in Utah before heading to college. That morning she woke to find the front door full of sticky notes. The kids had written her a love note. (Morgan took the stickies with her and now has them hung on her dorm closet door.)
At the airport after eating lunch! Morgan was excited and nervous. She said "It is harder to leave then I thought it would be."
Morgan has been worried that Addi would forget her once she left for college. Morgan played with Addi for the last few minutes before she had to go the gate for her plane. Addi didn't understand why Morgan was working so hard to get her to say bye. She just kept stairing at Morgan.
It is a hard, exciting, bitter-sweet thing to send your child off to college. I really and thrilled for Morgan. She is a beautiful young woman. Morgan has worked hard at many things in her life. I am happy that she is my daughter and am looking forward to watching her continued growth.

Children should not be taller than their parents!!

Jordan is so excited to be taller then the girls. Just look at the smile.
Craig was measuring the kids. You can see his hands on Jordan & Morgan's heads.
I am not ready to have Jordan taller than me :-( Craig refuses to stand next to Jordan!
"YES!" Jordan celebrates.

Too young for makeup!

Addison got into Morgan's makeup while I was gone. So Morgan put the makeup on where Addi directed! Apparently Addi like the lip gloss, she licked it all off.
On a side note, Samantha is using this photo as a visual for her current art project.

Morgan's Piano

Morgan was given this Cherry Tiger wood piano last year. It is beautiful (on the outside). Morgan saved up money and then had a piano tuner come over. The piano tuner was so excited to see this beautiful piano, until she opened it up. Previous piano tuners or owners had ruined the piano. They painted over the identifying information of the piano as well as the strings. As well as other damage. There was nothing the piano tuner could do.
After that diappointing news, Morgan took months to decide what to do with the piano. She has decided to save the larger pieces of wood for a table or shelves to be made in the future. Also she has pulled out hammers and keys to make a piece of wall art for her future home! An art project to look forward to.
When she started to pull the piano apart, Addison wanted to be involved. So Morgan sat Addi up on the piano and and let her play with the strings. I think all of the kids "played" the piano strings.

Even knowing the piano was no good, it was very sad seeing it sitting by the street waiting for the garbage truck to pick it up :-(

Grateful

Morgan is preparing to go to college in a couple of weeks. I have been thinking a lot about her. I love her tons. She is beautiful in so many ways.

Morgan and I drove by the elementary school last week. Morgan's PE teacher was standing outside with her class. Morgan talked about how much she loved this teacher. The same day, Morgan went to her high school to "give back". When I picked her up, Morgan talked about the good people she knows from that school.

I am so grateful that there have been many, many great people that have influenced Morgan's life. I feel thankful to Heavenly Father for sending the right people into Morgan's life. She has truly blosomed into a confident, happy woman with a solid testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Morgan is 17

Morgan wanted a wonderland cake for her birthday. I was really nervous about making this. Other than Jordan's cake a week before, it has been years since I decorated a cake. Morgan found this idea on the family fun website. Over all I think that the cake turned out cute. You can see that each layer of the wonderland cake is cut at an angle. I decorated the cake with marshmallow fondant (receipe in blog below). Morgan was pleased with the cake, so it was a success!

Morgan loves winnie the pooh. So we gave her a stuffed pooh bear. Morgan was so excited!!

This is just a picture of the top of Morgan's cake!

Morgan's Braces are off!!

Morgan got her braces off for her 17th birthday. She thought this was the best present!! The funny part was her friend Abby, also getting her braces off, from church was in the chair next to Morgan.

Beautiful smile! Morgan is out of treatment about a year early because our insurance will not pay for the jaw surgery that she needs. Frustrating when you have to change insurance company. But Morgan does have a better bite and can now eat a sandwich with the front of her mouth!!

I love this blurry picture, because it shows just how happy Morgan is to be out of braces!

The orthodontist office gave Morgan and Addi certificates for free ice cones because it was Morgan's birthday. Morgan loves to feed Addison ice cream. And Addi loves it.

The orthodontist also gave Morgan a certificate to have her picture taken and a very yummy cookie.

happy to be there mother

On Sunday the seminary students spoke in sacrament meeting. All of the kids did a great job. They each shared a scripture from the Book of Mormon that is their favorite.

After the meeting I heard great comments about the all the kids. Of course I really appreciated the comments about my children. Sister Becky Lamb said that said that Samantha is "always good". She also said that Morgan is "extraordinary". Sister Ludona Smith said that samantha is "such a doll". Brother Otis Manchester said he is "proud to know our family".

It feels so good to hear good things about my kiddos. I love them so much! So happy to be there mother.

Grandpa & Grandma Webecke Visit

In April, Grandma and Grandpa Webecke came for a visit. The kids and I met them at a resort near Walt Disney World. The kids were so excited to see their grandparents. We went mini-golfing, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Disney's EPCOT. They were all fun activities. The kids also were happy that Grandma brought beading and plastic canvas. They learned to make many things with the beads and canvas. So happy that grandparents come to see the kids.
While some of us waited in line for tickets the others had their picture taken with Tmone, at the gate of Animal Kingdom.
For most of the day we did split up into two groups. But we met at the bird show and enjoyed watching the many different birds. Grandma said that she liked to see the real versions of the many birds she has in her house.
I just love this picture of Raeleigh, Jordan and Stuart.
At EPCOT, we got to see several Disney characters. The kids thought this was so cool. Addison wasn't so sure, but she did want to touch all of the characters.
The highlight of the trip for Morgan was seeing POOH. Getting to stand next to him was just icing on the cake!!
I love all the different countries to visit in EPCOT. Of course I had to have the kids squish into the phone booth in the United Kingdom! I have good looking kiddos!!
Craig has shown the kids the wonderful world of squishing pennies. Stuart was thrilled to find the machines and enjoyed making the squished pennies and showing them off.
Grandpa loves music. Jordan was excited to bring his clarinet and play for him. Jordan played some of the songs he would play at the spring concert at school.
Samantha was happy to show her grandparents what she has learned in the NJROTC armed drill team. Samantha loves to do riffle routines and is happy to have anyone watch her spin!
One last event before Grandparents left was to go to Perkins for lunch. The kids love to eat out and Craig and I do to, so it was a really treat!!
Craig took this picture before Grandma and Grandpa drove back to Orlando. (Christina, Morgan, Addison, Samantha, Stuart, Paul Webecke, Raeleigh, Jane Webecke, Jordan)
Some how this picture ended up at the bottom & I don't want to take the time to fix it! We all loved the big fountain at EPCOT. The best part was that is was coordinated with the music. So fun to watch!!

LDS Prom

Patrick and Morgan went to the LDS prom on March 17, 2010. They both look so beautiful.

Patrick was so excited about his outfit. He looks handsome and even smiled for the pictures!

Patrick was thrilled to show me his belt buckle.

Look at that beautiful smile, so glad that he smiled for the camera!! This is a rarity.

Morgan and Sister Megan Lamb made Morgan's dress. They did a wonderful job. Morgan was thrilled with how the dress turned out and felt so pretty.

Megan also did Morgan's hair. I am so greatful for good friends that help my children.

Morgan and Patrick had a great time at the prom. Morgan came with fun stories to share and happy memories.
